Ahead of the Tasmanian Football Hall of Fame Gala Dinner on Saturday June 23, we are going back and taking a look at past inductees and their impact on Tasmanian football.

2. Roy Bailey: Amongst the earliest champions of Tasmanian football, Roy Bailey was an outstanding defender for Lefroy. A regular representative player, he captained Tasmania at the 1914 National Carnival in Sydney, and was the only Tasmanian player to appear at all three pre-WWI carnivals (1908, 1911, 1914).

3. Vic Barwick: Big and burly but a superb rover, Vic Barwick captained St. Kilda and represented Victoria in an outstanding 11-season senior career. Originally from Queenstown, he is one of the very few Tasmanians to have been recruited to Victoria from outside of the state’s three major competition.

10. George Miller: “A man with one eye red and the other blue”, George Miller was a stalwart North Hobart and TFL administrator for more than 50 years. North Hobart’s senior Best and Fairest award and a stand at North Hobart Oval are named in his honour.

18. Jack Charlesworth: A key member of the outstanding Cananore teams of the early-to-mid 1920s, Jack Charlesworth played nearly 200 games for the Canaries and was a teammate of the legendary Horrie Gorringe. Was named Best on Ground for Tasmania in their famous win over South Australia in Adelaide in 1923.
