Born 25 April 1948, Geoff Poulter was a great supporter of Tasmanian football. He won an AFL award for best feature story for a piece about Darrel Baldock in 1987. After completing his cadetship and starting his career in Tasmania, Poulter rose to the top of football journalism nationally over three decades at the highest level.
